Shop policies

First of all: thank you for your visit and interest in my shop!

I opened my Etsy shop to have a diversion from grey everyday life. So this shop is my hobby, my baby and I wish to keep it as pleasant and fun as possible - for myself and for the customer.
I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY WITH THE ITEM YOU BUY!

I am a big fan of re-using packaging. More for environmental than for cost reasons. I woll NOT send you your item in a shabby old box or bag, but please do not be surprised if you receive it in a packaging that has nothing to do with my shop. (Example: I have an optician friend that has loads of little cartons from glasses/sunglasses (quite posh ones actually) and you might receive your item in one of those.)

Additional policies and FAQs

*Materials utilised and the environment*
All my products are eco-friendly.
That's because they are sourced locally. All my materials originate from and are bought in France. The porcelain derives from the Burgundy region, the centre of France. The colors used are from a French company producing in France. If I need models or patterns that I can't make myself, I turn to artisans that produce locally. People that DO NOT mass produce.
The porcelain has a natural, unbleached white (eggshell) color. Slight differences in colouring, positioning of design or distances between letters are no sign of imprecision, but lie in the nature of handmade and make your purchased item unique and truly YOUR item.

*Production method*
The ceramic clay I use is not fired. After long research I found this beautiful material that does not need firing due to its magnificent natural chemical composition. It is self-hardening and becomes very shock resistant and receives its exquisite fine texture through several steps of manual polishing. Just like diamonds that show their true beauty only after working their rough surface.
The energy put in is therefore my own, no electricity, no gas or coal and surely no additional CO2 emissions of an oven (other than my own as a human being).

You are buying consciously sustainable here.
From beginning to end 100% handmade with love in France.

*Price:*
You pay for me to become richer. I want to become richer through good, honest, quality work. I want YOU to become richer by owning less throw-away goods, but an item that will never have the same value for anyone else but you. I want you to be richer by having more uniqueness.
I chose to try to become richer by doing it as sustainable as possible and with best quality available. For this quality I pay Western European prices. I do ONLY source materials from France and Italy and equipment from my home country Germany.
I use patterns for my designs to ensure the personalised item you receive comes as close as possible to the one you see on my pictures. The patterns I can't produce myself are made by German/French artisans that do not mass produce. I like to support other small businesses. I value their skills that make my designs possible. I pay willingly the extra money.

I do not mass produce myself. Unlike many other goods like paper or tissue that has been designed once and is then reproduced/reprinted by a machine, I am going back to my atelier for each piece. I will prepare the porcelain, imprint each letter and the design by hand and after drying polish, paint and polish again....all manually. The product you will receive is handmade with love from start to finish.

My orders are created in a pet-free and smoke-free home. I can do custom orders, just convo me!
Lovely gift wrapping in the style of my shop is available upon request for a very small extra fee. Or, for free, I can include a simple note to the recipient if it is someone other than the purchaser.

I reserve the right to photograph, post or sell again any design that originates as a custom order.
